Dr. Stan is an animal lover and an outdoorsman.  In addition to managing a thriving veterinary practice, he helps his wife, Connie, manage and maintain their farm.

There’s quite a story behind his shark catch.  It was actually a bit of a “save.”  Actually, Stan’s fishing had been a bit slow that week.  Pastor Geoff Baggett had gone down the beach to help another fisherman identify a fish.  He left his nice Penn surf rig in a tube in the sand … baited with a piece of cut bait.  While he was gone, a shark hit the bait and snatched the pole hard enough to pull the rig out of the tube.  Stan went in the water after Geoff’s rig, saved it, then reeled in this nice little shark (see Stan’s pic above) … which tied for big shark during the week-long tournament.  Pretty cool!
